What happens
Johnny Dollar, a freelance insurance investigator, is called in by the Universal Adjustment Bureau about dancer Carmela Hocares, whose life insurance policy keeps changing its beneficiary to a succession of young dance partners. Pressed by the company and then by Carmela herself, Johnny goes to her New York apartment, where he finds her unconscious after an attack by an unseen intruder. Carmela is in a state of fear over threatening calls, and Johnny begins to question her account of what happened. The story is part of the long-running CBS Radio series Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, first broadcast on December 29, 1957, with Bob Bailey in the title role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
