What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar looks into the theft of the Duke de Beaufort jewel collection, insured for nearly a million dollars, from the Philadelphia office of jeweler J. Harold Whipsett. Harry Branson, the insurance company's man in Philadelphia, calls Dollar down from Hartford to help. Secretary Perry Winkle has been shot during the robbery, and Whipsett claims he was locked inside his own office by the robber. Dollar examines the office and its doors while the police work the case. This episode is from the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar radio series, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on January 5, 1958, with Bob Bailey in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
