What happens
Johnny Dollar investigates the death of Thomas Lamar, a wealthy aircraft components manufacturer found dead in South Bend, Indiana. The evidence points to poisoning by a rare drug called pyridamyron, but Johnny discovers complications involving Lamar's adopted daughter Bonnie, her secret gambling debts, and her marriage to the family secretary Walter Morrison. As Johnny pursues leads, he finds that a crucial library book on the poison has been mysteriously stolen.
