What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, returns to the Crane estate in Cranesburg, Ohio, where Finneas Crane has asked to speak with him privately about the stolen pearl necklace. Finneas admits he has been troubled by his conscience and hints that he knows more than he has told. Melba Crane, his niece, arrives and tries to steer the conversation, while Dollar presses his questions. The story is part of the Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar radio series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on August 31, 1956, with Bob Bailey in the title role and Edmond O'Brien, John Lund and Charles Russell among the lead actors.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
