What happens
Johnny Dollar, an insurance investigator, looks into the murder of Harvey Stone, who was shot in his New York apartment. Lieutenant Joe Rastelli of homicide shares what he has learned, including that Alvin Gentry, who confessed to the killing, is a friend of Helen Barrett, and that Harvey's secretary Martha Winters was once his sweetheart. Johnny weighs the suspects, among them Harvey's father E.J. Stone and his stepmother Daphne, and questions Gentry at a nightclub, where Gentry insists Helen was with him at the time of the killing. Johnny then presses Martha about her statement that she saw Helen near the apartment. This episode is from Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, broadcast on CBS Radio on September 20, 1956, starring Bob Bailey.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
