What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is hired by manufacturer E.P. Watkins, who wants to name a new beneficiary for a hundred-thousand-dollar life policy after his wife's death. Watkins is in poor health and distrusts his three adult children, Sheila, Michael and Elizabeth, each of whom has a sharp grievance against him. Dollar travels to Connecticut, New York and New Jersey to speak with each of them about the family business and their estrangement. Along the way he is warned off the case by a hired man. This episode of Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, first broadcast on CBS Radio on 15 December 1957 and starring Bob Bailey, is presented here in an AFRTS version, and the premise is set out in the first act.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
