What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar arrives in Miami Beach to investigate the mysterious burning and sinking of the hired cruiser Fathom 5, in which William Marquis disappeared. Deputy DA Wilson believes it's murder committed by young Danny Haynes, but Dollar isn't convinced there's been a murder at all, suspecting instead that Marquis may have staged his own disappearance. Dollar begins investigating the curious details and tracks down a mysterious man named John Smith who recently purchased a car from a local dealer.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
