What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar investigates a claim filed by Ben Abbott over the destruction of his prize racehorse, Duke Red. The horse supposedly died in an accident, but Johnny finds discrepancies in Abbott's story and discovers that Thomas Warner, the horse trainer who was present at the incident, has mysteriously vanished from the ranch without collecting his pay or saying goodbye.
