What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar arrives at the Abbott racing farm to investigate a $65,000 claim on the death of Duke Red, a valuable racehorse that was cremated without evidence of injury. Terry Abbott, the owner's daughter, hints that the horse may not have needed to be destroyed, but becomes evasive when questioned. Dollar begins checking the financial background of Terry's father, Benjamin Abbott, a wealthy horse breeder.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
