What happens
Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar questions those connected to the death of county attorney Dan Parker, who was shot by his adopted daughter Luanne when she mistook him for a burglar. Dollar suspects the $100,000 life insurance policy payable to Luanne may indicate foul play, despite the town's determination to call it a simple accident. At a local roadhouse, Dollar presses Sammy Drake, the owner, about his relationship with Luanne and his connections to the dead man.
A small town and a roadside roadhouse called Happy Hollow, present day.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
