What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar arrives in Green Pass, Virginia to look into the death of county attorney Dan Parker, who was shot by his adopted daughter Luan when she mistook him for a prowler. With Luan set to collect a hundred thousand dollars in insurance, Johnny begins questioning those involved, starting with ambitious assistant county attorney Tom Bates, who has a personal interest in the case.

Green Pass, Virginia, a small town where county attorney Dan Parker has recently died under suspicious circumstances.
