What happens

Insurance investigator Johnny Dollar is hospitalized in Boston after a car accident kills a woman he was investigating with in Los Angeles. He recounts his case to a nurse: he was hired to find missing executive David Parsons Jr., but discovers the man has returned and signed documents. However, Johnny's investigation uncovers a troubling deception involving the woman who died.
