What happens

Johnny Dollar is called to Los Angeles to investigate the death of William McEdwards, a man who died in a house fire the previous night. The police suspect murder rather than accident, and as Johnny questions the widow and her father-in-law, he learns about a rare Chinese Buddha that was brought back from Korea and may hold a clue to what really happened.

Los Angeles, including Beverly Hills Police Department, Encino, Pasadena, International Studios, and Beverly Glen

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
