What happens
Hopalong Cassidy and his sidekick California Carson arrive at the desert town of Eagle Nest seeking a quiet place to settle down. Instead they find reward posters everywhere and are soon held at gunpoint and turned over to a self-appointed sheriff, Mr. Billington. Billington's daughter Martha expresses worry about her father, who is absorbed in a rain-making machine on the mountain. Hopalong, suspicious of the posters and the shooting near the trail, starts to investigate the mountain, where dynamite has been stacked. This is the Hopalong Cassidy series, first broadcast on January 8, 1950, starring William Boyd.
