What happens
Paladin arrives in Tombstone, Arizona on routine business and finds the town in chaos. After stopping a saloon brawl, he's deputized by the injured Sheriff Clay to help keep the peace. When a woman named Rosie Dugan arrives seeking help for a sick girl who came to town looking for her husband—a young prisoner named Whitey Hale—Paladin must decide whether to release him on bail.
Tombstone, Arizona in 1875; the town is crowded and chaotic with rough men; the action moves between the Alhambra Saloon, the Sheriff's office, and Rosie Dugan's place at the Crystal Palace.
Characters: Paladin, Hey Boy, Sheriff Clay, Whitey Hale, Rosie Dugan, Jim Akins
Listen for: A tense saloon confrontation where Paladin must stop an armed man from shooting, followed by Paladin's reluctant agreement to serve as deputy; later, Rosie Dugan's arrival with urgent news about a sick woman and a prisoner's fate.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
