What happens
When Marshal Dillon discovers Neil Amber trying to steal seeds from Jonas's store, he chooses to let the man go rather than arrest him, understanding that Amber and his wife are struggling to establish a farm near Pawnee Wells. But the marshal's mercy is tested when Pete Fletcher, a wealthy cattleman, accuses Mrs. Amber of stealing and butchering one of his calves. The marshal must determine the truth and decide whether the Ambers are victims of circumstance or criminals.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
