What happens

Marshal Dillon investigates the brutal massacre of a homestead north of Dodge, discovering that the Cheyenne raiders are armed with Spencer repeating rifles rather than bows and arrows. When a cavalry troop arrives and arrests Dillon and his companion, a tense confrontation at Fort Dodge reveals a larger conspiracy involving illegal gun running to reservation Indians and the escape of a war leader named Stone Eagle.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
