What happens

J.B. Kendall, a reporter for the London Times, visits a tailor shop in Deadwood territory seeking a new suit. He meets a shy, polite young man of sixteen or seventeen named Dick who works in the shop and discovers the boy is an extraordinary marksman, practicing to improve his already remarkable speed with a gun. As Kendall witnesses Dick's incredible shooting ability, the boy's father Paul suddenly arrives badly injured.

Characters: J.B. Kendall, Dick, Paul, Uncle Amos

Listen for: Kendall's amazement at Dick's shooting skill demonstrated from the hip at twenty-five feet, and the mysterious arrival of Dick's injured father.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
