What happens

Detective Danny Clover investigates the murder of Eve Hunter, a young woman found stabbed with a matador's sword in a room in Spanish Harlem. The case leads him to Juan Cinto, a famous Spanish bullfighter, and the various people in his circle who all had connections to the victim.

New York City, primarily Spanish Harlem and Park Avenue, with references to events in Spain

Characters: Detective Danny Clover, Eve Hunter, Ted Hunter, Juan Cinto, Cadiz, Senora Cinto, Nicholas Minacho, Valdez

Listen for: The distinctive noir narration that frames the story with poetic descriptions of Broadway and the barrio; the Spanish language dialogue and the tensions between the characters; the revelation of the killer's identity in the final confrontation.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
