What happens

Dan Holiday, an author, receives a mysterious invitation to go fishing aboard the Ruthie J. schooner. He's knocked unconscious when boarding and wakes to discover he's been shanghaied by the enigmatic Marie Gordon, who keeps herself locked in her cabin while Holiday is forced to fish with the captain. As Holiday questions the strange arrangement, he realizes there's more to this abduction than a simple vacation invitation.
