What happens

Dan Holiday, a writer who runs an advice box, is visited by young Johnny Moran, a newspaper boy whose father has been arrested for a jewelry store robbery. Johnny desperately believes his father is innocent and asks Holiday to help prove it, but the evidence—stolen goods found in Moran's apartment—appears damning, and the district attorney dismisses Holiday's inquiries.

A city with a jewelry store, police headquarters, and Holiday's office in a building with a mail drop called Box 13.
