What happens

Dan Holiday, a writer who takes assignments from mysterious messages in Box 13, is hired by detective George Flit to attend a party in Flit's place. Holiday's assignment is to watch over Kenneth Bolton, the troubled nephew of party host Gilbert Bolton, and prevent him from taking his own life, as Kenneth has been deeply depressed since his father's suicide.

A party at Kenneth Bolton's house, about fifteen miles outside of town.

Characters: Dan Holiday, George Flit, Susie, Gilbert Bolton, Kenneth Bolton, Rita Martin

Listen for: The mysterious circumstances surrounding Kenneth Bolton's father's death and what might lead to bloodshed at the party, as Gilbert Bolton warned.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
