What happens

Dan Holiday, a trouble-solver whose advertisements appear in the Star Times, receives an anonymous letter threatening to kill him within four days. The writer challenges Holiday to discover his identity before the deadline, warning that if Holiday contacts the police, he will be killed immediately. Holiday begins investigating the threat, consulting a psychiatrist about the psychological profile of such a person, while grappling with the terror of not knowing who wants him dead.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
