What happens

Dan Holiday receives a mysterious letter from William Martin requesting his help transporting a valuable diamond called the Mirabilis from Paris to the United States. Martin's plan is clever: Holiday will carry the diamond while Martin travels as a decoy tourist, so any thieves watching will follow the wrong man. But trouble begins immediately when a letter meant for Holiday mysteriously appears in a stewardess's hands.
