What happens

Dan Holliday, a writer seeking story ideas, receives an urgent letter from Agatha Marsh asking him to come to her hotel room. When he arrives, she reveals she has discovered a dead man in her closet and begs him to help her dispose of the body rather than call the police, fearing the scandal it would bring to her reputation back home in Indiana.

The Star Times newspaper office and Room 718 of the Bradford Hotel in the city

Characters: Dan Holliday, Agatha Marsh, Susie, Lieutenant Kling

Listen for: The tense confrontation when Lieutenant Kling arrives at the hotel room to investigate a tip about the dead body, forcing Holliday and Marsh to face the consequences of their decision to hide the corpse.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
