What happens
Boston Blackie receives a lavender-scented letter from Anne Martin, widow of a deceased gangster, asking him to help find $50,000 her husband hid before dying in prison. When three of Harry Martin's old cellmates are released from jail and return to town, Anne fears they'll locate the money first. Blackie investigates the connection between Anne and the three ex-convicts, but his inquiries lead him into a dangerous situation involving a mysterious body.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
