What happens

Boston Blackie's car is found at a garage by police investigating a hit-and-run death. A woman named Karen Forbes was killed the night before, struck by a black convertible. Blackie insists his car couldn't have been stolen and is taken to police headquarters, where Captain Faraday reveals he actually believes Blackie is innocent and encourages him to investigate the real culprit. Blackie visits the Forbes family home to uncover the truth.

Listen for: Blackie's clever reasoning as he questions the Forbes family about who might have used his car to commit the hit-and-run, and his tense verbal sparring with Captain Faraday who secretly wants him to solve the case.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
