What happens

When a bomb destroys a car and kills Henry Smith, Inspector Faraday believes the blast was meant for C.F. Baker, a man threatened by munitions maker Bill Oliver at a bowling alley. But Boston Blackie suspects Smith's death was no accident, and discovers that Mrs. Smith has a secret boyfriend who wanted her husband out of the way.

A city with a bowling alley, police headquarters, Oliver's office, the Smith home, and Baker's apartment building.

Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Faraday, Mary Wesley, Mrs. Evelyn Smith, Henry Smith, C.F. Baker, Bill Oliver, Paul Williams

Listen for: Blackie's clever deduction about how Mrs. Smith reveals her secret boyfriend's identity when she sees him on the floor; the revelation that Baker hired Williams to plant the bomb to kill Smith, not Baker; Blackie forcing Baker and Oliver to lie on the floor as a test.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
