What happens
A train carrying a million dollars in uncut diamonds vanishes between the freight terminal and a signal tower 100 miles up the line, leaving its hijacked crew unconscious in the yard and one crew member dead. Boston Blackie investigates the impossible disappearance, discovering that a man named Zachary owns property adjacent to the rail line and may hold the key to the mystery.
A railroad freight yard and surrounding area, including an airplane flight over the tracks and Zachary's property in the mountains near the rail line.
Characters: Boston Blackie, Mary, Inspector Ferdy, Harold Wilkins, Zachary, Henry Reed, Jerry Lodge, Mike
Listen for: How a full-size train can vanish without a trace, the connection between a diamond shipment and a clever crime, and Boston Blackie's explanation of the ingenious method used to make the train disappear.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
