(xx) Vic's Picture on Quarterly Cover

Well sir, it's early evening as we enter the small house halfway up to the next block now, and here in the living room we find Mr. and Mrs. Victor Cook and their son Mr. Rush Cook, abiding quietly at home.

Vic is established at the library table, competing with himself in a leisurely game of solitaire. Say he'd occupy his or husband's easy chair with a newspaper, and young Rush, stretched on the Davenport, stares at the ceiling and thinks thoughts.
