So, we've got a little mix up in, I think I'm writing things, the first attacks on a convoy, which has been actually recorded at sea. We've been attacked by bombers, there's got to be two runs over the convoy as yet.
All the ships have been just blazing off like mad, they've got to stick a bomb, but so far no damage has been done. I take up position by the gun in the stern, it's a 12-pounder, and I'm right amidst the gun crew now.
The shell all around me too and more are being handed up from the magazine below. I think you can hear the crew. And, wait a minute, here it comes, these on our port quarter, low-map more than 500 feet up, I understand.
Just about a press of us now, they're chasing bullets bursting around him, you're caught in a stern straight over, but you can still follow in through this white cloud, and there are goy forms. I'll stick a fort of them, they're hanging in the air from over there, but I can see them just sitting there now, they're dropping down over the convoy.
But wait a minute, he is missed. Columns of water, floating up at his midst. The ships are still there, and it looks as if we're all right. We've got the fadence fella, young hollering smoke, drifting across the water, but we won't worry about that.
He's missed, and everything's okay.
