The Saint of George Street

Bill, Jerry, that was a gun shot. Let's hit the store again, Jerry. Okay, though, baby. That did it. Yes, but oh darling, look. Mr. and Mrs. North, starring Barbara Britain and Richard Denny. Listen as Pam and Jerry solve the mystery, the Saint of George Street.

Twice a day, morning and evening, five days a week for five years. Fran Leland has traveled from George Street to work in the offices of Gerald North, publisher, and home again. In a few moments, she will be making the trip once more.

This time, though, it will be different. Fran is going back to George Street to stay. But first, there is one last goodbye to be said. Oh, Mrs. Leeland, come in. I'm leaving now, Mr. North, but I wanted to stop and say goodbye.

Tell you how much I've enjoyed working here. Well, thanks, Mrs. Leeland. Oh, you've met Mrs. North, haven't you? Yes. Hello, Mrs. Leeland. Mrs. Leeland and her husband are going into business business. are going into business for themselves family. Really? Oh that's wonderful Mrs.

Leeland. But what out of business? Nothing much Mrs. North. Ray and I are opening a little variety store on George Street. Oh you must be terribly excited and scared. Every penny Ray and I have been able to save in the last five years.

I'm tied up next door. Oh you will make up. Of course you will. But I know how you feel. Jerry, remember when you went into business for yourself? Oh. We were so find we could need. Which was just as well because we didn't have money to buy any food.

Mr. and Mrs. North, Ray and I are giving a little party at the store tomorrow evening, the night before our official opening. Just a few people, friends and neighbors and other storekeepers on George's team. I'd like to have you come. Why we'd love to, Mrs. Leyla.
