From Hollywood, it's the Dennis Day show. It's Dennis Day with Robert I'm Brewster, the orchestra, and Dennis Special guest, Ken Murray and Corky Hale. And now here he is, the star of our show, Dennis Day.

This has been what a rare mood I'm in White's almost like being in love Music of life seems to be like a bell that is ringing for me Square I could swear I was planted on

It's almost like being Ladies and gentlemen if you think you're in heaven you're almost right

What you've just heard is a sample of the music of one of America's foremost harpists, Miss Corky Hale. Thank you, Dennis. Gosh, Corky, that's a very pretty dress you're wearing. Thanks. And I like your pinstripe suit.

Pinstripe? Corky, you're looking at me through the harp. I'm glad you noticed my gown. I bought it in New York. It's the latest thing they're showing on the East Coast. It shows a little on the West Coast, too.

Say, Corky, I think that I... Corky, gee, I shouldn't be calling you Corky. It doesn't be fit the dignity of a harpist. What's your real name? Penelope. As I was saying, Corky, why don't you go over and play a little something for us, huh?

Surprise, you know I had no idea that you could get so much syncopation out of a harp. What ever made you decide to play jazz on an instrument that was originally designed for the more serious type of music?

Well, Dennis, one day I was playing Brahms lullaby with the symphony orchestra and suddenly my my foot fell asleep. To wake it up, I started stomping on the floor. From the next thing I knew, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Symphony was playing flat foot flue-ge with a fly fly.
