I'd like a job in your store for the holidays, Mr. Gordon. Very well, young lady. First, we'll fill in a few questions on this form. A name? Gracie Allen. The next question is male or female.

I'm sure we know the answer to that one, don't we? Well, I'm sure I do. Female. Well, if I'm not, I've been wasting my money on two-piece bathing suits. Yes, yes. To continue, at your age?

Over ten. Come now. Surely you can make it closer than that. All right. Over twelve. Let's do it this way, Miss Allen. I'll mention several ages, and when I reach the one you prefer, just say stop.

All right. Twenty? Stop. Stop. I'm back up a little. We'll just leave that question blank. Now as to your qualifications, some people have the impression that during the holidays we hire anyone who applies, but that's not true.
