What happens

Frank Race, a former attorney turned adventurer, is roused by his friend Mark, a cab driver, who brings in Bob Kennedy, a distraught man whose wife has been found dead in a morgue. Bob fears he will be blamed, and Frank goes with him to see the body. Frank then questions Larry Carmichael, who runs a nightclub, and meets his companion Bunny Covington, who gives him a lift and talks about the party where the dead woman was last seen. Frank pursues the case through leads about the Carmichael family and their automobiles.

Post-war Los Angeles, including a morgue, a nightclub, a drive-in, and a service station.

Listen for: Frank's questioning of Larry Carmichael and the clues about the car that Bunny Covington drives.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
