What happens
Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his partner Jingles are paid at a Western town and spend their wages carelessly. A hot-headed young cowboy, Brownie, clashes with Wild Bill in Badger Black's cafe, and Badger hires him for his own ranch. Badger then begins gathering unbranded mavericks from neighboring spreads. The story from the Wild Bill Hickok series, first broadcast January 9, 1953, stars Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles. Rancher Spivens is found shot, and Wild Bill and Jingles set out to learn who is responsible.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
