What happens
Wild Bill Hickok, a United States Marshal, and his deputy Jingles are in town when a boy is hit by a broken window. Jingles breaks a hotel window while playing baseball, and the angry clerk demands $20 by sundown. Jingles wishes for money, and a shower of $20 bills begins to fall from the sky. The bills draw attention and a voice from an upstairs window fires at Jingles. Wild Bill and Jingles search the hotel for the shooter. This is the Wild Bill Hickok series, first broadcast on February 3, 1954, with Guy Madison and Andy Devine in the lead roles.
A frontier town in the American West, including its hotel and the marshal's office.
Characters: Wild Bill Hickok, Jingles, Buddy, Joe
Listen for: The strange shower of $20 bills and the gunfire that follows from the empty hotel rooms.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
