What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles investigate a series of sheep killings on a ranch near Ghost Mountain. Sarah Stevens, whose flock has been attacked, hosts the two lawmen while they search for whatever is killing the animals. Strange howls echo across the mountain at night, and the trail leads the pair up into the rocky heights, where they meet armed men who warn them off. The story is part of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine.

Characters: Wild Bill Hickok, Jingles, Sarah Stevens, Alkali Bob, Uncle Ramon, Duke Hilson

Listen for: The howling and the bite marks on the dead sheep, which the characters argue over as proof of a wolf, a dog, or a vampire bat

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
