What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles are mistaken for outlaws after a rancher is shot on the range, and they find themselves in a gunfight with Rob Ransom, the foreman of the Diamond J. Connie Boyce, the rancher's daughter, is caught up in the danger as the lawmen look into a mysterious brand, the Walking XX, that has been appearing on the range. Bill and Grant Marcus ride out to examine the cattle, and the trouble on the trail quickly grows. This episode of Wild Bill Hickok, starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine, first aired on December 30, 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
