What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles pursue the outlaw Rance Turner to his hometown of Pleasant Valley, where Bill has come to visit Jingles's grandmother. Jingles had hoped for a quiet vacation there, but Turner is on the run and shots soon ring out near the house. Bill and Jingles track Turner through the town, and the outlaw's gang and his brother enter the story as the pursuit grows more dangerous. This is the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, first broadcast on November 12, 1954, with Guy Madison as Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.

The Old West, starting in a hotel in Santa Fe and moving to Jingles's grandmother's house and the livery stable in Pleasant Valley

Characters: Wild Bill Hickok, Jingles, Rance Turner, Grandma, Grandpa, Charlie

Listen for: The chase through the town after the shots are fired near the grandmother's house, and the confrontation in the livery stable

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
