What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride toward the ranch of Ed Martin, the kindly man known as the Mayor of Mule Mesa. Jim Jackson, a prospector, has just struck gold and asks the mayor to keep his gold dust in the safe. On the trail the lawmen come upon a gunfight and a wounded man, and they hear that a drifter has been hunting for the gold. The story follows them as the danger moves toward the mayor's house and his daughter Sally. The broadcast was a 1952 episode of the Wild Bill Hickok series, starring Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles, and it was sponsored by Kellogg's Rice Krispies.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
