What happens
Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles pursue two bank robbers who vanish into a dead-end canyon. They reach a stone cabin where an old hermit lives, and he insists he has seen no riders. The hermit admits he once was a bank robber but says he has been honest for fifty years. The lawmen discover a hidden shaft leading up from the hermit's cabin to a valley above the cliffs, where the outlaws seem to be hiding. The series features Guy Madison as Wild Bill Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles, and this is a 1953 episode first aired on November 27, 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
