What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles pursue a gang of bank robbers after the outlaws, led by Travis, ride through town and rob the bank. Jingles, distracted by his new interest in opera singing, is nearly shot in the wall of the marshal's office. The lawmen follow the gang's trail through rocky country, where they are fired on from ambush. Travis is an ex-convict whom Hickok once sent to prison, and he seeks shelter in the town of Red Dog with the mayor, Art Fulton, who was once a train robber himself. Hickok and Jingles arrive at Fulton's house and find themselves facing the gang.

The Old West, a frontier town and the trails and rocks around it, including the town of Red Dog.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
