What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles are at the marshal's office in Santa Fe when shotgun riders gallop past, firing into the town. The pair give chase after the gang, who have robbed the express office of a $10,000 payroll and left the clerk Jake injured. Trailing the bandits along the mountain trails, Hickok and Jingles find the outlaws' tracks and sense an ambush. The gang's leader, Ace Brandon, recently released from prison, is hunting the marshal. The story follows the lawmen as they press the pursuit toward the town's gathering place, with Brandon's men waiting and every step dangerous.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
