What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles investigate a series of bank holdups in River Bend, where masked bandits on white horses vanish after each robbery. After the sheriff is gunned down during a holdup, the lawmen trail the robbers onto a river road and meet Doc Frawley, a traveling medicine show operator, and his partner Pooley. Their suspicions grow as the wagon and the show's manner seem odd. The Wild Bill Hickok series starred Guy Madison and Andy Devine, and this episode aired on December 12, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
