What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride north from Mexico in the rain and take shelter under an oak tree. Two riders, Slade and Blackie, hold them up, disarm them, and remove every cartridge from their gun belts. The pair leave the weapons at the post office in Red Rock, and Hickok and Jingles follow them to town. The series Wild Bill Hickok, with Guy Madison as Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles, is presented on the radio in 1953. Hickok begins to suspect that the ammunition Jingles bought in Mexico is connected to the robbery.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
