Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles arrive in the peaceful town of Bluefield to look into counterfeiting. They suspect that bogus banknotes have been passing through Jonathan Jones's general store. Hickok sets Jingles to work in the store to watch customers, while Jonathan keeps the investigation quiet. Jones's grandson Snooper overhears the plan and insists on helping, and a rowdy customer and a local lawyer, Tate, soon draw the marshals' attention. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
