What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles, two lawmen in the early West, ride to a river crossing where a man named Cartwheel runs a toll bridge. After refusing to pay the toll, they learn a boy named Tommy Brown has been worried about trouble at his family's ranch. Wild Bill begins to suspect that cattle are being stolen and that Cartwheel knows more than he admits. The story is part of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, broadcast on May 26, 1954, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Listen for: Wild Bill's hunch about the stolen calves and how he tests Cartwheel's story
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
