What happens
Uncle Fisher, a wash rag collector, visits the Vic and Sade household in a Vic and Sade episode from 1942, one of the series' most-remembered broadcasts, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the lead roles. Uncle Fisher brings a box of wash rags over to show Sade, who is out at the moment, and he begins showing the collection to Vic and a neighbor, Nick Dorkall, who has stopped by. Uncle Fisher describes each rag in turn, reading the inscriptions and giving the history he claims for them, while Nick looks on and makes comments. The recording covers only the opening portion of the visit, and the rest of the collection remains unshown.

Characters: Uncle Fisher, Vic, Sade, Nick Dorkall
Listen for: Uncle Fisher's descriptions of each wash rag and the odd inscriptions he reads from them
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
