What happens

Victor Gotekin is asked to write a short biographical sketch for a kitchenware company's directory of notable people. At home in the living room, he tries out several opening lines with his wife Vic and sade's household, while his son Rush and others offer comments on the drafts. Victor experiments with grand, humorous and manly styles, borrowing phrases from the biographies of other local figures. The household's back-and-forth over each draft keeps the discussion lively throughout the scene.

The living room of the small house halfway up the next block, in the evening.

Characters: Victor Gotekin, Rush Gotekin, Vic, Sade, Stacy Yogg

Listen for: Victor's repeated attempts at an opening line for his sketch, and the family's reactions to each one.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
